چکیده

Herbal cosmetics are gaining popularity over chemicals for beauty products. However, natural products often prone to deterioration. Therefore, stability and compatibility testing the main examinations of safety reliability herbal cosmetics. Liquid crystal structures provide better application performances than conventional emulsion systems in terms stability, controlled release, moisturizing. Rice is most profitable crop Thailand, skin healing benefits rice have been reported. Thus, current study aimed develop a liquid cream containing germinated brown extract (GBR) or biological cosmetic active ingredients, its efficacy on hydration effects moisturizer, identify ingredient content, such as gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), phenolic evaluate physical properties product. Results revealed that GBR contained GABA total content 273.28 mg GABA/100 g 2.58 GAE/100 rice, respectively. The GBR-liquid had good moisturizing effect. developed were statistically significantly hydrating more counter brand product increased moisture was cream. provided high-efficiency effect enabling it be premium commercial shortly.

Antidiabetic Properties of Germinated Brown Rice: A Systematic Review

Diet is an important variable in the course of type 2 diabetes, which has generated interest in dietary options like germinated brown rice (GBR) for effective management of the disease among rice-consuming populations. In vitro data and animal experiments show that GBR has potentials as a functional diet for managing this disease, and short-term clinical studies indicate encouraging results. Me...

Effects of White Rice, Brown Rice and Germinated Brown Rice on Antioxidant Status of Type 2 Diabetic Rats

Oxidative stress is implicated in the pathogenesis of diabetic complications, and can be increased by diet like white rice (WR). Though brown rice (BR) and germinated brown rice (GBR) have high antioxidant potentials as a result of their bioactive compounds, reports of their effects on oxidative stress-related conditions such as type 2 diabetes are lacking. We hypothesized therefore that if BR ...

Effects of Germinated Brown Rice Addition on the Flavor and Functionality of Yogurt

This study aimed to investigate the functional and physicochemical properties of yogurt, supplemented with germinated brown rice (GBR) containing γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), during storage. GBR was produced by soaking brown rice at 30℃, and saccharified germinated brown rice (SGBR) was produced by treating brown rice with α- and β-amylase for 1 h, at 80℃ and 60℃, respectively. Yogurt was manufa...

Effect of Different Germination Conditions on Antioxidative Properties and Bioactive Compounds of Germinated Brown Rice

This study investigates antioxidative activity and bioactive compounds of ungerminated brown rice (UBR) and germinated brown rice (GBR). We used two rice cultivars (Oryza sativa L.), Taiwan Japonica 9 (TJ-9) and Taichung Indica 10 (TCI-10), as the materials in our experiments. The conditions for inducing germination are soaking time in water 24, 48, or 72 h; temperature 26 or 36°C; incubation i...

Antioxidative and Neuroprotective Activities of the Pre-Germinated Brown Rice Extract

We evaluated the effects of pre-germinated brown rice extract (PGBR ex) with enhanced levels of GABA on proliferation and apoptosis of neuronal SK-N-SH cells line. Firstly, we used HPLC methods to study the level of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in all rice extracts. We found that the concentration of GABA in the PGBR ex were 3 and 8 times higher than the GABA concentration in non-germinated brown...
